Moving Day...

We are finally at day 5, MOVING DAY. 3 men have been here since 8.00 this morning taking apart and packing up our furniture. Five and a half hours later (1.30pm) and we can finally start lowering down the 126 boxes into the truck that will take them to our new home!

Yay!!

Construction has started...

We're really excited to let you all know that the renovations on our house have started. Nuno , who is the english speaking worker who has taken charge of our project, has let us know that all the inside walls on the top floor have been ripped out.

River Beach

Even though we are 45 minutes away from Figuera da Foz (beach), we do have several river beaches close by. The picture above is of Fré at one of these river beaches only several kilometers away, on the road to Penacova. It is a perfect place to take a cool swim on a hot afternoon.

Other activities that are available or easy to do in the area are: canoeing, mountain biking, walking, horse riding, fishing. And in about 2 years time, if all goes as planned, a golf course will open up in the town.
