Project Portugal-


Casa nas Serras which started out as 'Project Portugal' is a charming Bed and Breakfast located in Vila Nova de Poiares, Central Portugal. In between Porto in the north and Lisbon in the south we are situated 30 minutes east of Coimbra on the foothills of the Serra da Estrela.

After the renovations, this authentic country house has been turned into a small paradise in the Portuguese countryside.

Our blog below shows every step of the way, from tearing down parts of the house, to the reconstruction, the works on the swimming pool, interior designing, gardening and much more.

Today's To-do-list:

- finish the staircase (place stones on steps)
- continue building the annex
- finish all work on the plasterboard upstairs so that the cement floor can be cleaned 
- vacuum all cement floors upstairs (on 2nd floor) and treat with a water resistant product -> ready for placing the wood floor
- carpenter comes to fix all inside doors on 1st floor
