Casa nas Serras which started out as 'Project Portugal' is a charming Bed and Breakfast located in Vila Nova de Poiares, Central Portugal. In between Porto in the north and Lisbon in the south we are situated 30 minutes east of Coimbra on the foothills of the Serra da Estrela.

After the renovations, this authentic country house has been turned into a small paradise in the Portuguese countryside.

Our blog below shows every step of the way, from tearing down parts of the house, to the reconstruction, the works on the swimming pool, interior designing, gardening and much more.

Terraces


The finishing of the terraces has started. One out of the four has been made with the stone slates that were originally on the back side of the house. Waiting for the cement to dry to fill the gaps with smaller pieces of stone and to fill the groves.
