Project Portugal-


Casa nas Serras which started out as 'Project Portugal' is a charming Bed and Breakfast located in Vila Nova de Poiares, Central Portugal. In between Porto in the north and Lisbon in the south we are situated 30 minutes east of Coimbra on the foothills of the Serra da Estrela.

After the renovations, this authentic country house has been turned into a small paradise in the Portuguese countryside.

Our blog below shows every step of the way, from tearing down parts of the house, to the reconstruction, the works on the swimming pool, interior designing, gardening and much more.

Update on the swimming pool


Border stone around the swimming pool has been placed. One of the next steps is filling up the empty  space around the pool and landscape it into the garden, and early next week the liner will be placed! Can´t wait till it´s time to fill it up with water!!

    Het begint er al uit te zien als een echt zwembad! Ben benieuwd hoe het zal zijn met die folie erin. En als de tuin is aangelegd natuurlijk!

    Normaal gezien wordt de folie nog voor het weekend gelegd, dan kunnen we beginnen vullen.
    Het aanleggen van de tuin zal wat moelijker zijn! Veel stenen en weinig goeie grond om gras op te zaaien. we zien wel!
