Project Portugal-

Casa nas Serras which started out as 'Project Portugal' is a charming Bed and Breakfast located in Vila Nova de Poiares, Central Portugal. In between Porto in the north and Lisbon in the south we are situated 30 minutes east of Coimbra on the foothills of the Serra da Estrela.

After the renovations, this authentic country house has been turned into a small paradise in the Portuguese countryside.

Our blog below shows every step of the way, from tearing down parts of the house, to the reconstruction, the works on the swimming pool, interior designing, gardening and much more.

Please feel free to take a look around on this blog or on our website http://www.casanasserras.com

Questions, comments and requests for availability can be sent to info@casanasserras.com and we´ll get back to you as soon as possible.

We look forward to seeing you here in Portugal!

Spring Blossom

Spring is here and it can be seen all around us. The trees are blossoming, flowers blooming and the birds are singing. With the sun up earlier and earlier it´s a pleasure to get up and start the day early.

Last week was filled with painting doors, painting bathroom ceilings, painting the walls in guestroom 3 and of course work in the garden; putting up the last of the fencing, planting lemon and orange trees, planting our palm tree and sowing our seeds for the vegetable garden.

With all that done and much more, we took the afternoon off yesterday and spent it at the beach in Figuera da Foz. With an amazing seafood lunch and some time in the sun, we came back refreshed and ready for a new week.

This week on the list of things to do:
- Hang lighting in all rooms and bathrooms
- Paint the last guestroom
- Continue garden works
- Go in search of garden furniture
- Write the text for the website
- and the list goes on....

So it´s off to work for me!

Wishing everyone a great start to a new week!
